  Homeowners Insurance

You've just got the word that the purchase of your new home has closed. Now you can concentrate on moving and decorating. RIght? Not so fast. There are a few legal details that remain.

Home Owners Insurance
Closing on a new home can be an exciting and emotional time. Make sure, however that your homeowners insurance is in place on the day of closing. Once title passes to to you, it is your responsibility to protect the home.
If you are financing the purchase through a traditional lender, you probably are protected because the lender will not provide the money to close without evidence that the homeowners insurance is in place.
